Everything Old Is New Again

Old worn furniture takes it rightful place once again in your living room. It brings a sense of the past but graces our presence.

Dreams are made in old rocking chairs. They wisk you away to another place and time where comfy couches and white side boards reside.

I have such a love for the vintage with all its worn torn beauty. There is such an abundance of these things, you won't have any trouble finding these treasures for your Shabby Chic room design.

Bedrooms that cry out to be slept in covered in the most lovely vintage bedspreads and blankets.

A lovely little slipper chair how inviting for some small child or friend to pass a few moments in time.

My precious grand daughter has spent time in my bedroom with me, having tea and discussing the state of the world or watching old movies.

We use my most beautiful tea cups and saucers. No need to wait for a special occasion, because its a special occasion right now.

These are wonderful days I'll remember forever.

The kitchen is filled with old furniture also...distressed looking with discolored features. The use of old time dishes and silverware add to the look.

Faded ruffled curtains in white or pale colors, old floor tiles...perhaps linoleum???...or throw rugs under an old distressed table.

The bathroom is also done up in old fixtures and flooring. Subdued lighting for that oldtime appeal and perhaps, if you choose to use a curtain for the tub, a ruffled one or plain lightly colored.

Old time tiles on floor and walls as with a pedestal sink surrounded by a curtain of ruffles.
