The Beach Kitchen
Has That Open Feeling

  • penned by AL

That open feeling of the beach kitchen is what invites our visitors to lend a helping hand. Possibly with the cooking or preparing of the meal.

There are certainly plenty of large pots for seafood stews and soups, along with smaller pots and pans kept handy in open cabinets for ease of access.

Dishes, cups and glasses are racked or stacked, openly, along side cutlery and utensils, always in easy reach.

Cottage living can be such fun and the beach kitchen, with that open air appeal, makes it even better.

What's On The Menu Tonight?

Keep cookbooks handy, also on an open shelf, so that you can quickly refer to a favorite recipe.

Tablecloths and napkins can be kept in a small chest...maybe one that resembles a pirates treasure chest...(YO! HO! HO!).

An open pantry makes food stuffs available for use while cooking and can also be very inspiring when looking for that special ingredient or additive.

Imagine serving your friends on a small, kitchen side deck complete with barbecue, table with umbrella and all the comfy chairs you can muster.

Lots of food and drink and plenty of happy faces after a day in the sun!

Whatever you're serving tastes better with the ocean as a backdrop!

Quiet Time

Aside from the rolling sea in the distance, you can possibly hear sleepy seagulls; while you sit in the peace of the evening and enjoy thoughts of your day.

Or collect those thoughts privately while standing outside your kitchen door with maybe a cup of tea or coffee to finish the evening.

You may have chosen to light the evening with candles or torches...or what about an outside firepit?

Those nights do get a little chilly and a firepit is just the answer. With so many styles to choose from you can't go wrong.

Easy Does It!

Perhaps you have the desire to take the party indoors for your evening coffee...well, your flooring has to stand the test of sand and surf so make it durable.

If you insist on wood floors be sure to get the flooring that will withstand heavy, sandy traffic...we can help with that.

You may want to choose a heavy canvas type throw rug...they are very versatile and very popular nowadays.

You can clean them easily and a broom will take care of the sand.

The easier the better...you're relaxing, remember?
